Inspired by the classic Afghan coats of the 60s and 70s…
For our first chapter, we want to share with the world the magic within each of our Suzani Coats, created using beautiful Suzani embroidery sourced from Tajikistan and the softest vintage sheepskins from Mongolia. Suzanis were traditionally made by Tajik brides as part of their dowry, and were presented to the groom on the wedding day. These hand-embroidered vintage Suzanis are infused with the character that only comes from everyday use. Each one-of-a-kind Suzani coat is made with love by one of our partner families in Afghanistan.
Working with IPHD, an NGO based in rural Rajasthan and their Girls' Education Project, each coat that is sold supports a girl in Bhikamkor through a year of education with all the needed school supplies.
